For the Love of Khakis
"Khaki" as the dictionary defines it as a light olive brown to moderate or light yellow brown is such a color everyone loves. Whatever color you have in your wardrobe khaki complements all or call it as a contrast. In the fashion scene globally and locally khakis still remain as a strong trend. I will define it as a trend which is ever lasting. There are numerous ways to wear khaki trousers casually and even formally that depends upon how one carries it.The very contrasting colors that are usually thought to be worn with khakis are white and black. It can be a white or black t shirt, polo, a casual or formal full sleeved shirt. In context to Pakistani fashion this trend remains very dominant. I will elaborate a few images here.
Nael Ahmed the former male model was spotted wearing khakis with a plain white t shirt. Undoubtedly he looks very graceful. He has completed his look by adding a funky belt. With the shoes he would have chosen better colors but overall this simple combo is perfect for summers. You can also try accessorizing it differently. If you do not wear a watch go for some bands or similarly if its not a chain watch it can be a leather stripped one.

Khakis are used in every way. If it has to be semi formal then pick up a denim shirt , a brown belt and boat shoes or moccasins complimenting the belt. You never will go wrong. In the same way checks can be a good option like in the picture above the red check shirt is paired up with a khaki.
Locally i liked some of the pieces from outfitters collection. The first one green checks is for the ones who always like to wear lively colors. With the second picture the yellow belt somehow is understating the look. The third image is from Forestblue. The subtle khaki with bold colors looks perfect. With the fourth image its a stripped shirt from the outfitters collection with khaki. It has to be checks or stripes with a khaki its for you to decide.
Another good example of pairing khakis with stripes is the next image. From head to toe its just awesome.
Loud colors just go really well with khakis. I personally love the green and khaki. Maybe its somehow inspired from nature. The images below tells the story how greens blend with khakis.
Blacks and khakis are an absolute perfect match. We may see it as inspiration from some of the forces dress/uniform. Black highlights khaki even more. So try black and khaki once and you surely will never get it wrong.
Beckham who is a style icon other than his passion for sports is wearing black with khaki. The best thing about this get up is the brown which is used in the form of a belt and shoes.
I certainly cant describe in how many ways khakis can be worn. If it has to be khaki shorts pair them up with white as an undershirt and a plain denim shirt. Not to forget a brown belt. With shoes there are countless options.
Enough of casual looks. Lets head to some of the finest semi formal and formal looks with khakis. One of the best look is to wear a white shirt with a khaki. The shoes has to be formal to make it functional. This is just an effortless look. I particularly like the minimal accessories and a watch for sure.
Can you think of wearing khakis with blazers? Well the answer is yes. For a very well defined look you can always experiment.
The above picture says it all. Black and khaki with a blazer and dont ignore the shoes. They are super for this look.
Waleed Zaman again comes up with his great aesthetic sense and style leaving behind all the above. Starting from the very traditional golden "kheri" which is the very right choice. The brown belt and finally the blazer with a very cool print and colors. Its not just the clothes but also the person and he always proves that right. This look can be used for various occasions . Did you notice how he has rolled on his pants? If yes you are a good observer,
For all those who love khakis i hope this post might help you a little. Get a pair of khakis and wear it your way. I know a lot of you people must be already having one and that was the driving force to write about this trend.
