PSFW 2014 Trends from the Red Carpet

PSFW is always the biggest fashion event of the country. From the ramp to the red carpet its all about the love of fashion. The red carpet always remain the happening area with all the celebrities, models and designers. Lets have a quick review of some of the exciting trends at the red carpet of PSFW.
  • Blue is the Color

Blue is not a particular color of any season but if we relate it to any season then it would be summer or spring. A lot of the fashionable men at the fashion week's red carpet were spotted supporting blue. Get your hands on blue color in your wardrobe if you dont have one.

Akif Illyas the designer was spotted wearing blue trousers with a blue check shirt. Blue on blue is always a great combination to go with. What i like the most about the look is the sensible use of accessories. Atif has used black woven belt and a black watch with grey casual shoes. The simple and minimal look makes it a hit on the red carpet. Go for this semi formal look in the evening.

I think this is how you make the best use of colors when it comes to balancing them. Moeed of the fashion house "Muse" has paired up blue chinos with a plain white shirt. The blue is defined by the careful use of brown accessories (the belt) and the shoes. I totally adore this amazing look. His sense of style is amazing. If you are forgetting his glasses then you need to observe that. Another plus point he has. That is another way to rock an electric blue.

HSY never goes wrong with his wardrobe. The blue suit looks perfect with a striped shirt. Another version of blue on blue. The use of brown with blue makes it even better.

Omar Farooq of republic by Omar Farooq has been one of the most well dressed person i came across in the industry. He is always stylish from head to toe. Here Omar is also seen wearing blue pants with a light colored check shirt. Yet another sensible use of blue. Totally in love with the look.

So blue is the color of the season. From international runways to our red carpets blue is the seen as the big trend. Be sure if you are going for blue on blue you dont overdo it.

  • The Men in White/Pastel Colors

In summers we tend to use white more. On the red carpet some of the men have totally reinvented the use of white. Kamiar Rokni and Waleed Zaman who have a different sense of style but in their own ways were spotted in all white.

The Traditional Man
Waleed Zaman of Kayseria is always close to our own cultural roots. His sense of style is not entirely modern but sophisticated and traditional. On the red carpet he was seen wearing an off white kurta and the same colored waistcoat with a straight pajama. This white on white works for Waleed and not to forget the very traditional Khairi which stands out. Thumbs up for the very refined and simple look of  Waleed.

Kamiar Rokni knows how to play with colors at his best. He was also spotted in white on white with a beige blazer and the shoes. The cropped pants and the way he has carried makes it perfect for the red carpet. Pastel colors are back for men.

HSY also experimented with bold and neutral hues. Here he supports a very light shade of beige with a blue check shirt. Here is a clue for the men who always take light or dark colors and never experiment. It is about how you pull off.
